Welcome to this new page dedicated to the P100.

Historical information regarding this vehicle is unfortunately very thin.
But with help from the Heritage Collection of the Ford Motor Company, I've been able to include some info otherwise unavailable.

The Cortina-derived P100 Pick-up was announced in July 1982, just weeks before the Cortina range gave way to the Sierra.
A version of the P100 had existed for some years in South Africa but the UK version had a longer wheelbase to provide a larger loading area.

The P100 was designed as a rugged pick-up type truck which was the first to be offered from a european car maker, as all previous ones were from the Far East - for full specification details, click on the image with, 'heavy duty specification' on it.

In 1988 the Sierra became the platform for the P100.
The only sales figures still available, show that 30,693 P100's were sold in the UK between 1985 and 1994.

There were only a few brochures issued for the P100, I've been able to obtain what I think is the launch brouchure and a flyer type one - these are shown below.
